Tuesday

30 almost weeks.

It's crazy how slow the first part of pregnancy went and now it is going faster than I ever imagined.  This week I will be 30 weeks and the thought alone gets me anxious.  I have always had the personality that if I don't know how to do something exactly beforehand, I am hesitant to try.  As with having a baby, I must admit I am scared to death.  I have no idea how to be a mom.  You dream of all the things you want to teach and do with your babes, but putting those dreams into action is the tricky part.

People always say that being a mother is instinctive, you will just know what to do.  I think until that day comes, my heart will keep fearing the unknown.  While I am scared, I am so comforted by the fact that my babe will be surrounded with the most loving father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.

I feel so lucky to be soon be a mom.
Yet I'm shaking in my boots.

Baby G : At Home

I feel so lucky to do what I do.  I, also, love when people want to do pictures in their home.  It is so fun to see how they decorate and they feel comfortable in their own quarters.  Baby G is nothing short of darling.

Girls Weekend

Two weekends ago, my mom and sisters and I made our way up to Park City for the weekend.  We usually go around this time of year and dare not to break tradition.  Leni Jane did not join the party; however, she did get spoiled by grandma at Sephora beforehand.  She stayed in town and went to the dinosaur museum for five hours with Shaner.  Zanzabar did come with us.  Poor little guy was sick the whole weekend so we all got our fair share of snuggle time.  We ate good food, shopped for our little ninos, and ate way too much mint chocolate chip ice cream.  I love the ladies in my life.  And lucky for Zander, he was a little model for our new babes clothes we bought.  I love that little Z.

Baby Girl

We found out what we are having on the 29th of October.  I prayer I would not be nervous for the ultrasound but I don't think it helped, or maybe it could have been worse.  I was a nervous wreck- maybe it's the nurse in me.  Spencer nor I cared what our little bean was, but wanted our baby to be in good health.  We were both thinking boy but when the ultrasound tech said it was a girl, we were surprised needless to say.  I thought boy for sure yet was so excited it was a girl.  That night we had family and close friends over to surprise them with the gender.  I made them little favors that had all sorts of pink candy, glitter, and confetti on the inside.  We are starting to get used to the fact that we are having a girl and are so dang excited.  We love her.

Monday

Back.

Whoa it has felt like forever since I have posted on our blog.  I feel like I have been documenting our life everywhere else but here.  Journals and more journals, and instagram of course; however, I miss this.  So I vow to do better.  For me.

Every fall I tell myself to not let the season pass without taking full advantage of its beauty, yet it seems like it does every year.  I love that this year, I have taken part of all things nostalgic regarding fall.  And I love that.  I love that I have had the time too.  Fall walks.  Apple pies.  Picking leaves.  Apple cider. New candles.  Dressing in sweaters and big socks.  It feels so nice to partake in this favorite season of mine and not be distracted by the deadlines of school.

Work has been going really good.  I feel like it gets better the more I learn.  Knowledge is slowly replacing fear.  I am still trying to get used to night shift but it will come and it is surely.  Its hard to know if I am really tired from pregnancy or the night shift.  I, too, have been taking a lot of pictures which is such a nice change from work.  It lets me use the other side of my brain.

My favorite thing this fall however, is knowing a little bean is growing in me.  Gosh we are so excited. I am 15 1/2 weeks and have had a fairly great pregnancy.  Other than some sickness, I feel dang lucky. (Sorry Hailey, I know it's quite the opposite for you).  It's so awesome being pregnant.  I feel like it has given me so much purpose and self worth and I have never been so content.  We are so thrilled to meet our bean and will find out this month what we are having.

Update in a nutshell.  But I will be back.  Soon.  I'm holding myself to it.

Zander.

My sister's sweet little Z made his debut on the 13th at 8 minutes after midnight.  It was so special and I was lucky enough to go on the delivery.  This little man is such a doll and he already has a million nicknames: 'Z' being the most popular and closely following- ZZ, Zan Zan, Zoolander, and Baby Z.  I'm sure there are plenty more to come.  He is perfect and I am so happy the little nugget is here.

Thursday

Baby boy is celebrated.

On Saturday we had Hailey's shower at Grandpa's.  It was so much fun.  Some of our most dear friends were there to show Hailey some love.  We sat around talking in the yard for four hours we were having such a good time in the nice summer weather.  What more do you need than good company, good food, and sunshine?

Friday

The sweetest.

A couple months ago I was able to take pictures of this precious little boy.

I just heard this song and am obsessed.
One day, when I have a little one.  This song will be on repeat 24/7.

Wednesday

BW or Color.

I am going to continue BW or Color series on this here old blog.  I'd love your opinion.

And nothing is more precious than a newborn. Wow. I got to see a few come into this world yesterday for my clinical rotation. How lucky am I? I tried to not let the other nurses and doctors in the room see the huge alligator tears in my eyes. What an amazing miracle.

Tuesday

I am dying over these pictures of Spencer right now.  He is ridiculously cute.
Maybe I'm biased. Maybe I'm not.

I am so lucky.  Spencer's mom gave me these moccasins of Spencer from when he was a baby.  Real leather moccasins in fact.  However, they never fit him because his legs were to chubby.  I love things like this. Some things really are worth keeping around.

Did you inherit anything neat when you got married??

You know you want to.
