Tuesday

Ocean.

I have really been aching to go to the ocean.  Road trip?  I would even pick the Oregon coast.  There is something about wearing sweats and a sweater at the ocean.  I took these photos a few years back when we went and they get me wanting to go back for more every time I look at them.

Sunday

These Two.

I love watching these two play.  Not only is it hilarious.  But it makes my heart happy.  And they do things that I will never quite understand.  Like smell each other's feet or pretend they are angry bulls or whatever.  I love times like these.  Spencer said we are getting a trampoline soon.  I am holding him to it.

Tuesday

Our weekend.

Spencer and I wanted to go down to and check out the new City Creek mall in SLC this past weekend. We took the trax downtown and spent the day walking around, getting baked treats, and perusing the stores.  While I was engaged in a book about the history of typography, Spencer found himself a comfy spot in Restoration Hardware.  I found him sleeping on one of their sofas and about died laughing until I saw an employee glaring at him.  After about fifteen seconds of shaking him to wake, I left him to his misery.  He is a free spirit indeed.  Our favorite part of the day was walking around temple square.  That place is magical.  Everytime.  We had a fun day and it is always a party to see my sister.  Sad we missed Carrie, but we had a blast nonetheless.

Thursday

All my bags aren't packed and I'm not ready to go.

Sitting here at night and everyone is asleep. I guess I am still on Idaho time. We are leaving Southern Florida tomorrow for home and not quite sure how I feel about it. It may come down to dragging me out of here like a three year old throwing a fit.  It doesn't exactly feel like Christmas; however, I think the fact that I have been in a swimsuit 24/7 beats that feeling. It has been so rejuvenating being at the ocean. There is something about it that renews and clears the soul. I have begged Spencer several times if we can move to the ocean for a couple years while our future kids are young. I don't think I have him talked into it yet, I'll keep trying.  I finally talked myself into bringing my camera on this trip and am so glad I did. It is really a catch 22.  The camera is equivalent to lead and I worry about it like its my own precious child. It is. But the quality of the pictures are so much better than a point and shoot. Moral of the story, there is going to be a picture over kill from this trip in the near future. It has been glorious and lovely and everything in between.
