Wednesday

Valentines

I spent Valentines working, but we usually don't do much anyways.
Caroline and I celebrated the day before with some crafts.
My favorite party of Valentines, really.
This little girl loves balls. Anything that resembles a ball, she puts in her hand

and takes with her everywhere she crawls. And those rolls, yum!

Monday

Valentine Crafting

The boys came over today and we got our craft on.

Friday

Happenings. Instagram Style

1. Spencer reading- We both have been reading so much lately. His current reads include books for Anthropologie and Dave Ramsey. I have been reading The Baby Catcher by Jodi Picoult. OH. MY. GOSH. Read it. I have cried my eyes out throughout most of it, but it gives the BEST perspective.
2. Valentines- Valentines day was very low key and perfect. We got take out. Rented Water for Elephants. Spencer protested because he thought it was a chick flick and ended up really liking it. I knew he would.
3. Shirt- Stripes.
4. Spencer napping- I tried to snap a photo of sleeping beauty. His favorite napping spot.
5. House Beautiful- I get SO excited everytime this magazine comes in the mail. It is one of the bests. Other magazines I would love subscriptions to include: Kinfolk, Rue, Martha Stewart, Real Simple, Country Living, Martha Stewart Weddings, the Knot, and Bazaar (I love the photos).
6. Orchids- Spencer's Grandma passed away 2.5 weeks ago and our ward brought us over these beautiful flowers.

Sunday

Birthdays and Love.

This weekend has been full of Birthdays.

Friday I went to Utah to celebrate my sister Carrie's 26th birthday. We celebrated with a sushi party with friends and family at her house. It was such a good time! She is the master sushi maker.

Today we spent the day at Spencer's parents for his Mama's birthday. We made cupcakes and a homemade card for her. Spencer let his creative juices flow with this one. Ha. We had the most fun time making it and it took us back to kindergarten for sure. I had to add glitter to it. He HATES. I repeat HATES glitter because it gets everywhere. But I think it always add the perfect amount of bling.

It was a great weekend celebrating two of our most favorite peoples birthdays.

I have also been making a few valentines and cutting out a few hearts along the way.

Wednesday

HeART

I'll be the first to admit. I used to think Valentine's was pretty lame. I don't like when people feel obligated, especially to send flowers, chocolate, etc. But I've had a change of heart. There is something kind of sweet about making a homemade valentine or decorating little spaces in your house with hearts. I in fact, want to do a Valentine craft night. Nothing fancy, we could even cut out paper hearts.
