Girls Weekend

Two weekends ago, my mom and sisters and I made our way up to Park City for the weekend.  We usually go around this time of year and dare not to break tradition.  Leni Jane did not join the party; however, she did get spoiled by grandma at Sephora beforehand.  She stayed in town and went to the dinosaur museum for five hours with Shaner.  Zanzabar did come with us.  Poor little guy was sick the whole weekend so we all got our fair share of snuggle time.  We ate good food, shopped for our little ninos, and ate way too much mint chocolate chip ice cream.  I love the ladies in my life.  And lucky for Zander, he was a little model for our new babes clothes we bought.  I love that little Z.

My favorite mama turns 55.

For Mama Kat's birthday we went to Park City for a little getaway.  We had so much dang fun.  We ate at fun restaurants, had some pretty funny interactions with Darryl from McDonald's, the bellboy with the moustache, and Harvey the hotel fix-it man trying to help us with the DVD player at midnight.  We definitely had bonding time in the jacuzzi that sat in the middle of the room.  Don't worry, we had our swimsuits on.  And Hailey dumped about a gallon of Epsom salt to help us 'relax'.  We hope Mama Kat felt special because we sure had the best time with her.  I made her let me take some pictures of her on our way out of town.  She is so so incredible, we love her so much.

Hailey said it best.  She said anyone that knows our mama has either been touched by her,
helped by her, or loved by her in some way.  This is so true.
She is such a good person and we are so glad she is our Mama Kat!

We searched ALL weekend for our favorite and traditional snack: Sixlets.  By about the 7th store searching for them, we found them.  And devoured them.

Word to the wise.  We bought these sodas at World Market because the packaging was neat and they looked refreshing.  Too bad they tasted horrible.  Don't judge a bottle by its package.

Hailey's favorite beverage: Virgil's rootbeer from World Market.
Least favorite: baby food strawberry banana smoothie from McDonalds.

I'm an annoying travel partner.  Always asking people to take pictures of them.
Danielle is a baba-licious though.  So it's all good.

We enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

Danielle introduced us to some delicious eclairs.

And we wore the same outfits.  We planned it.  Not really.

Monday

75 is my favorite number

This past weekend was spent in Jackson Hole for a volleyball tournament I was playing in. Once my family found I out I was heading up there, they wanted to come along for the ride. We love Jackson Hole,  but what we might love more than Jackson Hole is the Square Ice Cream while en route to JH. The ice cream really isn't spectacular, but its square. Cool right? Okay not really. But what really caught my eye was the moustache machine on the way out the door.  These machines are as close as I get to gambling. It. Was. Stressful. Praying that I wouldn't get the dirty orange moustache or the gray one, I was blessed with a black one. Not just any black one. THEE handle bar.  Best 75 cents I have ever spent.  I had more props being thrown at me than I knew what to do with. Don't judge me, because I think its a good look.

In attendence: Mama Kat, Hailey, Aubrey, Leni Jane, and Lauren Ruth.

Friday

city of angels {when we're there}

i just got back from los angeles last night and can i just say i have the raddest (i don't know if raddest is a word) sisters and mom ever. we were super duper busy but we had a blast. i am going a little overboard on these pics, but i want to remember everything that happened on this little trip! so so so fun.

we stayed at shane and hailey's Aunt Jo's house. AMAZING:

my mom's birthday was on May 12th and the night of the 11th we gave her "the book". this book alone will get its post soon.

we spent most of our time in the garment district for navyperl
it was a blast. we didn't leave one block in TWO days,
and there are 90 blocks of fabric.
it was so inspiring here!
i guess this is where designer's come choose fabrics.

i just realized the 'i heart boobies' shirt in the background. whoops.

while we were there, navyperl had a way fun party at Aunt Jo's daughter's house.
the house was awesome and retro.

the rest are just fun pics from the trip!
the street ones are from aubrey sticking her body out the sunroof driving down hollywood boulevard.
kind of like on pretty woman.

we had a blast.

You know you want to.
